We’re looking for a product-aware engineer who is thoughtful, responsible and passionate about user experience to help us get our mobile apps off the ground!

FishingBooker is the world's leading online travel company specialized in fishing. We are one of Southeast Europe's fastest-growing tech companies, enabling easy access to great fishing for anglers everywhere.

We are a looking for a Mobile Developer ready to change the sportfishing industry with us, with a focus on developing our captain and customer facing mobile apps. Not only is mobile quickly becoming the preferred means to book travel, but mobile uniquely enables our captains to be responsive and connects our anglers (customers) to their surroundings. We’re looking for someone who is not only skilled in React development, but also has a strong understanding of good UX because of the unique form-factor of mobile.

Projects you will work on:

• Our captain facing app, My Trips is already an important tool enabling thousands of captains to manage their bookings, business presence, availability, and real-time communication with customers.
• We have a brand new customer-facing app, released in 2022, to help anglers book fishing trips on the go. This means we are building a full travel app from scratch with search, booking, review, and payment processing capabilities.

The following is important to us: 

• Minimum of 3 years of industry experience in engineering.
• Experience with ReactJS, and React Native
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
• Experience shipping one or more Android apps, ideally currently available in the Google Play Store.
• Personal projects that show an aptitude for engineering and user experience.
• Ability to work in areas outside of their usual comfort zone and get things done quickly.
• Great problem solving skills.
