Skinny Water Charters has been putting smiles on their guests’ faces since 1997! They are owned and operated by Captain Craig Lahr who loves fishing in the beautiful coastal town of Clearwater. This year-round destination offers the county’s more exquisite fishing including Tarpon and backcountry fishing, and over 300 fish species. The town is also well known for the Clearwater Marine Aquarium that focuses on preserving the marine life and environment through education and rescue.
Captain Craig can take you on a charter from 10 miles out, to the backcountry shallow water, and from Clearwater to Tarpon Springs and Tampa Bay. Your captain can happily accommodate 3 adults on a trip, or 2 adults and 2 children. You will target a variety of species including Redfish, Snook, and Tarpon, depending on where you decide to fish.
He will provide you with all the fishing gear including rods, reels, tackle, baits and a fishing license. You will have a first mate on board to help you with reeling in your catch, and at the end of the trip they will clean and fillet it for you.
Skinny Water Charter will take you fishing aboard a custom built Aquasports 222 tower bay boat, which is absolutely ideal for fishing in this area. The boat is fully equipped with all the safety and electronics you need for a successful trip, including a Lowrance fishfinder and GPS. The capacity varies on your group – up to 3 adults can come aboard, or 2 adults and 2 children.
They offer a wide variety of charters for families, beginners, and advanced anglers. Come enjoy a great day of fishing in Clearwater!
