Small boats with just a couple fisherman who have experience and experienced capitain who gets u in the bite .....nothing better

Oscar knows several other fisherman and used fishing knowledge to put us on the fish!!! Great experience.

Cons: Oscar was 20 min late & tried to blame me & say that he couldn’t find me…I called him out cuz we talked the night before about where to meet. I was 10 min early & he would’ve had to walk right past me if he had been where he said he was. Then, we stopped at marina to get him coffee, a muffin & some water (that was for me cuz included in the trip cost). We finally headed out of the marina 1 hour & 15 min from when trip was to start & picked up live bait on the way out to troll. In previous discussion with company when booking I expressed interest in fishing for marlin as a priority, then tuna, wahoo & mahi mahi. We spent most of the morning fishing & caught 2 bonita. We FINALLY used the live bait that I paid extra for to target Marlin. So basically didn’t target what I wanted til the end. Spent 20 min wrestling one, only to have capt take rod & lose fish. Then, was told we needed to head back in to clean fish (1.5hrs early). So I used 1 piece of live bait ($20) & the kid that was brought along fed to sea lions the rest of the bait.  After cleaning fish, there was still 40 min left of the 6 hour trip. So basically they need to just say 4 hours instead of 6. Had I known that I would’ve chosen a different charter to take me out for a full day.

Hollywood talked to much and was a little bossy. He’s a good guy though. He’s the expert and should not expect us to know it all. We don’t like taking loud orders. We own boats. Wouldn’t want him again unless he calmed down.
