Who doesn’t like Mahi tacos?
It’s summertime in the Florida keys and that means one thing.
MAHI, DOLPHIN, DORADO
It doesn’t matter what you call them, they are fun to catch and better to eat!
Departed out of Little Torch Key and headed offshore in a range of **hidden content** ft. of water.
Mostly sight fishing or running and gunning Looking for birds, debris, free jumpers. This time of year it doesn’t take long to get on the Mahi.
The bait used has varied from live bait to cut bait.
You just need to figure out what works.
Our anglers limited out (10 per person at 20”) with a minimum of 24” in the box. There were enough around to be able to pick out the bigger ones.
Deep dropped in about 500 ft. of water and brought up a nice amount of blue line tilefish.
We also had time to fish the reef in about 70 Ft. of water using cut bait and live bait.
Yellowtail and mutton along with a pair of amberjacks.
