Started by catching bait (cast net) then fished in 35-45' of water just off the beach. We had some sharks to 65#s and a 30# King mackerel there last Sunday. We had one blow up and miss for about 40 min fishing this morning. Then we moved about 9 miles offshore and it was game on. The fish were smaller (8 to 15#s) but they sure were willing. First strike came on the down rigger (King Mackerel - mid teens), next was a shark on the down rigger (released) then we missed (rubber hooks) 3 in a row on the out riggers. After that it was solid hook ups and 6 kings in a row in the boat ending with a double. I enjoyed fishing with Pat and Nikki Hallinan and their family this morning and look forward to our next trip. Not only was the fishing hot but the customers really made it easy for me, They Really Like to Fish. We'll hit it again tomorrow. See you on the pond. Capt. Guy
