Island Dog Water Sports offers a great opportunity to battle the biggest fish in and around Ocho Rios, Jamaica. With anything from Blue Marlin to Mahi Mahi, you could set your own personal records.

Speaking of your potential targets, fishing is great year-round. The best time to go out is from September until March. You can expect to target Tuna, Marlin (White and Blue), Wahoo, Kingfish, Mahi Mahi… and the list just keeps going!

Venture out to the reefs to search for fish. The best fishing around is just 10 minutes away from shore and hold the best species the area has to offer. There, you will bait the hooks, drop 6 lines in the water, and begin trolling.

To make a great catch possible, you will be provided with Shimano and Penn International professional gear and tackle. All the fish caught will be evenly split between you and the crew. Please note, that all charters have a ‘no smoking’ policy.

Island God Water Sports will take you out aboard the ‘Justeina’, a 31’ Phoenix. She was built back in 1975 by Industrial Boulevard Tullahoma and fully refurbished in 2014. The Justeina comes powered by twin 200 HP Detroit Turbo Diesels and can get to the fishing grounds quickly and safely. You will have more time fishing and less time traveling.

The Justeina is outfitted with outriggers, Tuna tubes, a fighting chair to battle the monsters, and other electronics to save your time while searching for fish. There is also a toilet on board, which is a much-needed thing when spending your day on the water.
