BLACK MARLIN FISHING COSTA RICA! Today was just one of those incredibly special days aboard GOOD DAY fishing in Quepos Costa Rica. We had the pleasure of three 12 year olds Fishing with us Eli, Allie & Mia along with grandparents Kyle & Alysse. The fish of the day was a stunning Black Marlin est. around 300lb which we fought for 2 hours on 30lb tackle. 12 year old Eli did incredible to fight the fish for 1 hr 15 mins before Grandfather Kyle helped finish it off. We got the leader 3 times and on the final occasion got some solid wraps only for the fish to jump right next to the boat and wave her last goodbye as the 100lb leader parted like cotton. Just an amazing experience for the family to share together! The kids all tagged & released a Sailfish each and we caught a small Tuna aswell as missed 3 Wahoo bites. Another FANTASTIC day fishing in Costa Rica!
