Описание тура

Harry & Amrit from Scotland have joined us this week for 5 days Fishing in Costa Rica aboard GOOD DAY. Costa Rica has been a bucket list destination for Harry & Amrit for some years now and their primary target species for the trip are: Black Marlin Striped Marlin Yellow Fin Tuna Pacific Sailfish Roosterfish Cubera Snapper Amrit's main mission for the trip was to catch a Roosterfish & after 3 years of research, planning & watching other Anglers catch Roosters on You Tube, finally they are here in Costa Rica to try it for themselves. Day 1 We spent much of the day Livebaiting an Offshore Reef for Black Marlin but no Marlin bites today. We went 1 for 4 on Sailfish , including Harry's first Pacific Sailfish. Day 2 We focussed on the Inshore species today and fished Dominical & Naranjo. Amrit's wait was finally over when she caught, kissed & released her first ever Roosterfish. A very special moment for the guys. Our catch for the day was: 1 Roosterfish 1 nice Mackerel 1 Big Jack 2 Yellow Snappers 2 Mullet Snappers 2 Needlefish We enjoyed a gorgeous dinner of Yellow Snapper, Mackerel & Cold beers in the Runaway Grill in the Marina afterwards. Day 3 We headed offshore again and chose to livebait for Sailfish. We released 2 Sailfish from 3 bites, both were solid Sails and the first ever Pacific Sailfish for Amrit. A Wahoo then stole 2 of our Livebaits but we didn't get the hookup. Content with how the day had started we choose to head back inshore for the afternoon & focus on Roosterfish. It proved to be a good decision with Harry tagging & releasing his first ever Roosterfish, a 25 pounder. Lovely fish. Amrit then tagged & released her second Rooster of the trip, a 15 pounder. We added a couple of jig caught Jacks to the days tally and had bite offs and missed fish from some good sized Mackerel and Barracuda on the Jigs & Popper. As the sun was getting low in the sky & in the final moments of the day Amrit hooked into a Roosterfish which took a live Lookdown bait. During the first couple of minutes of the fight Amrit barely got any line back on the fish at all as took around 150 yards of line from her reel. It was amazing to watch the power of these Fish, the reel sang as yards upon yards of line were emptied until the worst happened and the hook pulled! What a shame! We don't know how big the Fish was but it had all the signs of a really big Rooster, as big as any we have caught this year and almost certainly the best fish of the last 3 days. Thankfully Harry & Amrit have 2 days remaining and can't wait to get back out there!!
