Costa Rican Species Hunt - Day 1! We welcome fanatical species Anglers Jon, Keith & Mick from the UK for their first ever trip to Costa Rica. The UK Fishing scene has changed a lot in recent years with more & more Anglers enjoying Species fishing and opting to fish much lighter tackle than we did in years gone by. The guys will fish aboard GOOD DAY for 5 days using a large variety of tackle & tactics to give them the best chance of catching lots of the different species that Costa Rica has to offer. We will fish out of Quepos for the first two days before heading down to the OSA Peninsula for a further 3 days. Day 1 started with a bang with the guys each catching & releasing their bucket list Roosterfish, with three fish going approximately 50lbs, 30lbs, 18lbs & 10lbs. In all, 7 species were landed during day 1: Roosterfish Trigger Fish Cortez Grunt Spot Tail Grunt Lane Snapper Spotted Scorpionfish Grouper After an excellent first day Inshore we are looking forward to seeing what tomorrow's Offshore trip has in store!
