The basic trip itself was only possible because Mark was flexible and didn’t mind taking his boat out of the water and launching 13 miles to the south. The wind was such that no other charters went out of Dunkirk Harbor due to the wind that day. We did a slow troll from Barcelona to Dunkirk with the wind to our backs, and limited out by the end of our 5-hour tour. For the 3 of us who traveled all morning, the 1:30 PM Charter was perfect.
Mark had a great attitude and was open with us. The fish were cleaned lickety-split, as his brother helped him. Who could have asked for anything more?! We three would highly recommend this charter.

Three of us from West Virginia headed out of Dunkirk harbor aboard Captain Mark Hitcome’s impressive Ranger craft, and we met with persistent heavy 3’ swells and lots of choppy water in between. In spite of all the wave action and a couple light showers thrown in, Captain Mark managed the situation masterfully, and we returned to Dunkirk five hours later with an excellent catch of walleye. We could not have been more satisfied with our experience. Captain Mark is knowledgeable, competent, and experienced. He is also a good communicator, and we confidently highly recommend him to other anglers.

Captain Mark was honestly the best Captain I’ve ever been out with and I go on a lot of fishing charters, he got us right out there put us right on the fish we caught our limit of walleye in 3 hours and we even went out deep and my younger cousin whom I brought with for his birthday caught his first lake trout ever and it was a giant. Overall it was an awesome trip and definitely going to do it again. Thanks captain Mark for the great time, and the recipies.

This fishing trip with Mark exceeded my most optimistic expectations. What a pleasure to deal with a professional of that unmatched caliber! If not the limits, we would catch all BIG fish in Erie during these 5 hrs. I cannot imagine better time spent. We are absolutely happy. BIG THANK YOU, Mark!

This trip was excellent! We hit the limit on walleye in no time; it would’ve been even quicker if we knew how to set the hook!
