Captain Lloyd Dunkin invites you on an inshore fishing adventure in the productive waters of South Padre Island, Texas. The charter is operated by Captain Lloyd Dunkin who has over 15 years of experience fishing this area and guarantees to catch fish. Captain Lloyd is a very fun and positive person who loves taking kids, families, beginners, and experienced anglers fishing.
Captain Lloyd will take you fishing in the inshore waters and flats of the Little Lagoon in the South Padre Island. You will normally fish 15 to 20 miles north or south from the starting point, and along the coast, in the enclosed bay.
The targeted species will normally be Redfish which is available most of the year in good numbers, and the high season being from February to October; Speckled Trout is also available year round with peak season August through mid-November, Flounder peak season is normally late-July through late-October. Other available species include Sheepshead, Mangrove Snapper, and Jack Crevalle.
You will fish aboard a 21-foot Dargel 210 Skout saltwater fishing boat, originally built in 2006 with a capacity for 5 persons. It is powered by a 150 HP Suzuki Four Stroke engine that ensures a speedy ride. The boat contains all the USCG-approved safety features including life jackets and a CPR-trained crew. There is a GPS and a fishfinder, too, that will help you locate the best fishing spots.
Captain Lloyd Dunkin will provide all the fishing gear including rods, reels, tackle, live bait, and lures, so all you have to bring is a valid Texas saltwater fishing license. You will also have a catch cleaning and filleting service at the end of your trip, so you even get to take home tasty dinner.
