Solid action on trout the past two days. At one point yesterday, we were getting up to three trout hits on single casts. Lose a fish, and another would grab on. Two of us caught 40 plus trout on two drifts of no more than 1,000 feet. Using artificial baits. Never bothered with the landing net. Some trout were keeper size and others not. We figured 50 trout the first day, and scratched out 25 trout the second day, the guy fishing with his wife only three hours. Fished for redfish a couple of hours, and caught one 26-inch fish. ALL fish were released but four trout for dinner at Roy's Restaurant the following two nights. Highly recommended. The cobia put up a good fight on trout tackle and was carefully released.
