Fishing has been very solid last few days on Lake Conroe. Had back to back bookings Monday-Tuesday. Both groups put many catfish and hybrid striped bass on the boat and in the ice chest. Cloud cover in the morning kept it comfortable, but I was put to work removing fish and baiting hooks by both of these groups. Had a great time!! The Water temp dropped slightly (2 degrees) the last few days. This moved the Catfish out of the 28 - 30 ft depth into 20-24ft depth. Chumming around structure at that depth resulted in good numbers of fish within 30 minutes. I will normally only wait at a spot 15 minutes without a bite before I move, but 30 minutes seems to allow that chum to bring them in. I have openings this weekend.
