I enjoy a great top water bite and spring by far is some of the best top water fishing. Clients, and i left the dock searching for trophy trout. They had a plane to catch so we really only had very little time. Getting to our first spot we caught a couple trout, but not the big one, yet moved on over to another deeper hole and BOOM my top water went! Wishing this fish was on my clients rod i pulled her in! What a fish, she weighed just under 8 pounds and was a healthy release giving another fisherman the chance at a trophy fish.
