On a chilly, windy day in January I fished with Captain Colton at Lake Hudson, hoping for a couple of spoonbills and a bunch of big catfish, and that’s what I got. First I caught 2 spoonbills immediately; I could have caught many more, but mostly I wanted the big blue catfish. In the remainder of my 5 hours I caught 24 blue catfish. The one spoonbill we weighed was 32.98 pounds, and the catfish we weighed was 24.74 pounds. What a morning of fishing! Colton Scoggins puts a fisherman right on the fish. Thanks, Colton.

Due to thunderstorms we had to postpone our trip. Instead of mid-July we rescheduled to a very hot August day! We wanted to leave early to avoid the heat. So Captain Colton gladly obliged and had the boat ready to go an hour earlier than usual.

We cruised to our fishing destination as the sun came up. It was very beautiful. The gentle breeze and the beautiful scenery were magical as the sun began to wake up behind the tree line. It didn’t take long and we started bringing white bass into the boat. After a couple of hours and a couple dozen fish we headed back to dock. Once there, Captain Colton filleted and bagged our bounty. We beat the heat and headed into town with an ice chest full of fish and stories to tell over breakfast.

We were very satisfied with our trip and definitely recommend a charter with B&C.

I fished for 5 hours on Fort Gibson Lake on a Wednesday morning in July with Colton Scoggins.  I caught 24 white bass (see above), 2 hybrid bass (see above), and 1 channel catfish.  I hooked 3 other fish that got away on the way to the boat, including a huge one (big catfish?).  The fish I caught were all in the 14-17 inch range, and the action was continuous.  I have the highest respect for Colton as a fishing guide—the fishing was outstanding, and the conversations (when we had enough time) was very enjoyable.  I highly recommend B&C Fishing.

Caught a lot of blue catfish on this trip.  Good action throughout the entire trip.  I really enjoyed the fishing and conversation with the captain and his son.  We had a really good afternoon on the water!

Bobby and his son were extremely professional, personable, and practical. They’ve got all the tools and tricks for the job and we had nothing to worry about. He worked very well with novices like me and more experienced anglers like my cousin. Had a fantastic time catching our first spoonbills! Then they took us to start catching catfish almost faster than our rods could get into the water. Hope to go again!
