We both decided to go north of the St. Johns River and fish the Nassau River area, west of Amelia Island. WHY? Saltier water! The St. Johns River has been very fresh, yes since the passing of Hurricane Irma (which passed just west of Jacksonville, Fl coming north from the south. The "land based" storm dumped loads of rain, and that rain eventually makes it's way into the St. Johns River. But we both caught Trout everywhere we went but one spot. The action was good, and we ALWAYS have loads of fun.
