Located at the northern point of Riviera Maya, this town provides direct access to mangrove swamp flats, a bustling coral reef system, and deep fish-filled waters just a few miles from shore. If it’s deep sea fishing action you’re after, you won’t have to venture far from shore. Trophy-sized Sailfish can be hooked only a few miles out, and you’ll also encounter Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Swordfish, and Wahoo. Unlike some of the bigger places Puerto Morelos is tranquil quiet place which is just what you need after a days fishing. Take your catch to Sirena restaurant and ask the to cook it for you then take a shot walk along the sea front followed by an ice cream. Lovely little place

Julio and Alex were awesome. We caught a bunch of Mahi Mahi trolling and even had a triple with 3 fish on at the sane time. We also hooked a white marlin! Excellent service and knowledge about fishing area. Highly recommend.

What a time. Four hours of hauling fish in the boat. Got some trolling in, my personal favorite way to fish, then did some bottom fishing. Lines getting bit as soon as the bait hit the bottom put lots of fish in the boat. Captain Julio and Edwin were fantastic, super friendly guys who know how to catch fish. So for anyone who wants to go Catching instead of fishing I highly recommend Black Moon.

Our Captain, and Edwin-first mate, were great fishermen and even better people! They worked hard, and they had fun with us. I've been on many charters, but this was in the top 3! We caught a bunch of fish, and Edwin cleaned the ones we wanted and recommended a great place for us to take one of our Yellowtail snappers to fry up for an amazing lunch. Awesome day!

Great guides keeps baits fresh and explored many options and places to be sure we had fish on. Finished the day with 5 trigger fish a red snapper and big Barricuda and 2 other kinds I don't remember the names. Great trip!

Though our trip was cut a bit short by queasy stomachs in the choppy waters, it was an excellent experience overall. Our guides were positive, helpful and skilled at their craft and we had the opportunity to bring in a good sized barracuda within the first few minutes. Would highly recommend, but would also suggest some Dramamine just in case. ;)

Went on a half Day trip with my son. Great sized boat for 2 people, but we had room for a couple more. Captain Julio knows the hot spots and 1st Mate Edwin is always on the hop making the system work. We ate the barracuda we caught for lunch and it was delicious, fresh and our trophy for the day.

We had a great time. They were responsive and accommodating for our beverage needs (extras at our cost). Captain let us choose our focus (we wanted to keep trolling). Put us on some fish. Was even able to drop us at our resort beach (staying just north of Puerto Morelos), saving us a taxi home. Will repeat if I end up staying in the area again!
