Capt. Marty was punctual, geared up and ready upon arrival. He quickly rigged and we were fishing. He’s great company and very attentive. We caught three rainbow trout. Initially, I intended to catch and release, but upon seeing these gorgeous fish I kept one and he recommended I take it to Vines Restaurant where the chef gladly accepted the preparation Schroeder. My daughter & I had a very enjoyable 3 hours fishing with Marty just after Easter ... a perfect host in every respect, very personable, great to talk with ... all the necessary equipment & assistance you could wish for and a perfectly sized boat (even if we had another 2 or 3 on board there was plenty of space). The weather was fantastic & the fish were hungry - certainly beyond our control but simply added to the positively pleasant memories we'll always have of our trip. Thank You!!!

We had a very enjoyable afternoon with the helpful and informative Captain Daniel Wood. We were instantly made to feel welcome aboard his lovely boat which is very comfortable and well equipped. Not only did we catch some nice rainbow trout we also learnt a lot about the local history and ecosystem of Lake Taupo.

Captain Marty made it so much fun for our two young kids. The entire family had a great time and were so excited by all the fish we caught!

Marty is a really good skipper. This is the second time I've fished with him. Really nice guy who knows his stuff. Recommended.

Richard is a very personable man. Good teacher and knows the lake well. Between the three of us we caught eight rainbows while another three got away. Great afternoon.

Captain Marty and his boat are top shelf - he was friendly, informative, and clearly knew what he was doing....after only 30 minutes of not catching any fish, he made some adjustments and we ended up with more fish than we could eat! Everyone in the boat caught one....then he cleaned and packaged them up for us, including some recipe suggestions. Highly recommend!!!

It was a beautiful day and very relaxing fishing as you had more time available by trolling. I caught 10 rainbow trout. It was a great fishing trip. Thanks also to Captain Nick.

We caught so many frish we couldn't believe it. And it seemed we had the lake to ourselves for the first 2 hours. Marty even took us out to see the Maori rock carvings which was very special. It was a wonderful experience not only fishing but watching the weather shape shift around the late. From mist to rain to sunshine. All in all a very worth while morning.

Have to say the experience was worth every dollar. No hesitation in recommending Richard to anyone wanting a charter in Taupo. Very professional and will tell any of my friends to book him if coming to Taupo for a fishing trip.
