The road may now be just 25 miles long, but locals still refer to pretty much the whole Panhandle as “just off the 30A.” From Pensacola to Fort Walton Beach, this road is the life and soul of the Emerald Coast. Renowned for its angling opportunities, it’s no surprise that you’ll find plenty of 30A fishing charters waiting to take you away – try not to lose concentration if you’re driving!

Wherever you go off the road, you’ll find the best the Panhandle has to offer. From the East Bay, through the Choctawhatchee, down to St. Andrew’s and the St. Joseph Bay, there’s no shortage of inshore fishing. Redfish, Trout, and Flounder can be found everywhere, while Spanish Mackerel, Pompano, Sheepshead, and even Tarpon come at different times of the year. Head further south, and a scalloping or oystering trip may be in store.

All along the road, you’ll find charters ready to take you beyond the bays to the reefs and deep waters offshore. You’ll find the closest fishing grounds out of Mexico Beach but, no matter where you go, you’ll find a range of Snappers, Cobia, Kingfish, Amberjack, and many more. The captain said it was a good time for shark fishing. We got on on shark but lost it. The next one was a very large Sandbar shark, which are protected so we couldn't keep it but we were thrilled for the chance to reel in such a large shark. The weather the day before was not ideal and didn't set us up for the best fishing but the captain kept us on fish as much as possible. Great experience overall!

March was a comfortable time to go fishing, but you can't keep the red snapper or grouper until summer. We had to throw back at least a dozen or more red snapper. If you catch your limit of vermillion snapper within 4 hours, spend the last hour or two going after amberjack and grouper. These big fish are a fun fight.

James and Bill were excellent on are first florida fishing trip. They were focused on us getting fish able to get us on them. Patient with 4 people on the boat losing bait. Able to get on some big grouper in the bay we lost them but that was anglers mistakes. I would definitely be using addiction to charters again with out question.

Captain Jim and First Mate Bill were great. Did a 4 hour trip, with our kids 9 & 11. They handled everything and were very helpful and patient with the kids. We went off shore and caught a lot of keepers to bring home and then they put us in another spot where we caught some big red snapper. We wrapped up trolling for Spanish mackerel in the bay. 100% would recommend

Hubby and I always take a private fishing trip every year we come down. We make it a competition and of course I always win! Today was no exception. Great time and experience for my boys as they caught their 1st red fish. All and all great time just fishing and enjoying the day. We caught 15-20 red fish just not any size.
