Snook fishing is forbidden in January, so you'll have to wait a while to battle the "Silver King." Gator Trout are frantically eating up all live bait, as the bait fish are few and far between, so this is the time to get that trophy!

Redfish are increasing as big schools move in, with over 100 fish per school! Grab some shrimp to maximize your chances of landing one.

As the weather warms, bait fish are starting to appear in greater numbers. Black Drum are starting to peak during this month, too.

April means one thing: amazing fishing all around. Speckled Trout are numerous and very hungry so they just boil the water! Snook are starting to move into deeper waters, near jetties and other man-made structure.

Speckled Trout fishing remains red hot., as does Redfish fishing. Tarpon reach their peak in May and you can catch many smaller specimens.

We highly recommend the beach fishing with New Smyrna Beach Shark Hunters. Location was convenient and easy to get to. The crew was friendly and personable, and we felt like we had made good friends by the end of the night. While we didn't catch our target, it certainly wasn't for lack of trying. The crew worked hard from the start, right up to the last minutes. We had a great time, and will try again, hoping for less wind and current. Overall, a terrific experience!
