Be flexible and listen to your captain/guide. If you want to target a specific species you. A but run the risk of not catching anything. The captain will know what is and is not biting. If they make a suggestion I would listen because they want to put you in position to catch some fish and have some fun. So talk to them and make a game plan before your trip and take their advice into consideration and you will make some great memories just like I did!!!

Went on a two hour trolling trip for Calico bass. We caught two right out of the gate, within the first hour! Captain Ryan was clearly very knowledgeable about fishing in the area and super helpful. Even my friend who hadn’t been ocean fishing before had a great time, he even got the opportunity to reel in his first big catch. The amenities aboard the boat were generous and the whole experience was 10/10. My friends and I had a great time, and I’m sure you will too!

We had a great time aboard the Sea Esta. Captain Matt knows all the spots. We started off at a shipwreck where we caught a nice size bass and plenty of hungry sculptin. The fun continued throughout the day as we zipped around in the Sea Esta from spot to spot. The captain has her fully equipped with all the right gear. I would strongly recommend that you sign up for a trip on the Sea Esta. Fish On!

We had a good trip today, caught plenty of Sculpin to have ourselves a feast shortly after getting back on land. Captain Shannon was on time, boat was clean, was great with the kids, and even put us on to a place that prepared our fresh catch for lunch. Our family of 4 were going out for our first deep sea experience. We were going off season and my only hope was that the kids got to pull something in. Well after getting situated we were able to pull about 10 fish an hour. Captain Shannon was great with the kids and generally showing us the routine. I would 100% go out again on this trip.
