- Captain Gene Johnson grew up in Pensacola and has been fishing the area for 30+ years. He’s fished waters from Florida to California catching many different species of fish. Gene has fished several fishing tournaments for marlin, redfish, cobia, and plenty of inshore tournaments as well. He has a 20-year-old daughter that has fished many tournaments with him and won the Gulf Power Inshore Slam together one year in which he was the only captain to have a female and teen angler with him.
