- Captain Alan Clowers was only 5 years old when he started fishing the bays and local lakes of San Diego, heading out with his dad and brothers. He has been fishing ever since and now knows these waters extremely well. He has entered various competitions over the years, and has achieved over 10 first place finishes and 8 Big Fish awards. He was named Angler of the Year in the Southland Bass Club, and has also placed in the top 5 on more than 20 occasions - not a bad record in San Diego, which is not short on competition! Capt. Clowers enjoys teaching kids and beginners, as well as with expert anglers, how to find fish in this area, and is able to customize each trip to suit your needs. A trip with Capt.
