Captain Ray provided a great day of fishing for my father, brother and I. This trip exceeded our expectations and gave us great insight of topsail with local flair. Ray is very personable and is beyond knowledgeable of the ins and outs of fishing in the area. His tackle was top tier, and the boat was definitely comfortable to be on. We can’t wait to book with him again!

I was so happy to be able to get my two older boys out on a boat. The weather conditions weren’t the best for fishing and the captain was very informative and understood if we didn’t want to go out. This told me that he wasn’t only after my money. We stayed on the sound and my ten year old was able to hook a nice red drum! Both boys said that just being on the boat was an awesome experience. Next time we’re in North Topsail, we will hook up with this charter. Thank you, Captain Raymond, for giving my boys a great memory!

Amazing experience!!    Capt Brittain called and pushed our start time back due to the high tide being in to early.  He explained how it would be much better fishing for us if we waited. Caught Spanish mackerel in the ocean and then headed to the intercoastal waterway for some red drum fishing.  Captain Brittain kept moving to keep us on the fish.  He was personable and excellent to talk with.  I would highly recommend fishing with him and can’t wait for my next fishing trip.  Do yourself a favor and book a trip with him.

We had a great experience with Captain Ray.  It was my 14 yo Son’s first experience at salt water fishing and we all had a blast catching Spanish Makeral!  Captain Ray managed to thread the needle between bad weather and mark us over some running schools of Makeral.  We had fished very hard inshore the previous day for Red Drum but couldn’t get them interested after so much pressure on them over the Memorial day weekend. It was still a good experience and Captain Ray had us visually tracking the drum schools, but they were just too wary to eat that day.  Still fun and we learned a lot!  Would absolutely recommend Captain Ray to anyone interested in fishing in and around the New River waterways!

Raymond is an outstanding guide. His understanding of the local area and ability to target fish is unmatched. From the second my grandfather and I got on his boat to the last few minutes Raymond made us feel welcome. His boat and gear were clean and ready to use which made it easy and enjoyable to reel in 6 red fish within three hours.  Overall I am beyond please and satisfied with my trip, will definitely book Raymond again in the near future.
