First of all, from the minute I called Captain Michael Foster, he was so personable, answering all questions with depth and knowledge about the fish, the jetties, where we had time to go, etc. I got such a good feeling from him on the phone and my gut proved me right. The same comfortable feeling in person. He accommodated our every need. We caught our own bait along with the bait he brought, we were set. We caught so many fish, I got tired of reeling them in. There were six of us on the boat and everybody was catching fish on both sides of the boat. We moved three times and each spot was spectacular. I would def hire Big Fin Charters again and again.

My dad and I went on the sunrise trip and it was a great experience all around. The captain is knowledgeable and knows the best spots to anchor at, we were lucky to catch 3 black drummers (35-40 pounds), a red drummer (30 pounds), and several smaller fish. If you are planning a trip to Amelia Island, you need to check out this charter for some wonderful fish to bring back home!

Our Vegas party of 3 all got some action today. Aside from a couple of sharks taking over the hottest space we were in, the fishing was still good all around. It was clear Michael has been doing this a long time. Not sure if we’ll make it out to this part of Florida again, but if we do, we’ll book another trip with Michael.

Capt Michael is a true professional and outstanding guide.  My son loved fishing growing up and since joining the Navy, he and I have had very little time to spend together.  We decided to book a trip with Big Fin Charters and did not know what to expect but was just hoping to spend some time on the water together.  After scouting the area, Capt Michael determined the best place to place to cast our lines and within 30 minutes, my son was fighting a Bull Redfish for ten plus minutes.  And I was soon to follow.  Not knowing much about the area, let alone fishing, Capt Michael spent time with us explaining the local “fish culture” to include regulations and best practices.  Can’t say enough about his charter business and have definitely become a repeat customer.  Fair winds and following seas Capt.

The family had a great time fishing with Capt. Michael. He knew the spots to fish and was very patient with our kids. Kids had a blast catching sharks and other fish. But sharks were their goal and we got 5 of them. We will be back fishing with Big Fin again.
