My hat is off to Captain Ken on our recent bottom fishing charter. He was very friendly and capable even though I had initially told him we were full and could not take him fishing with us ( inside joke on me). He made us feel like he was part of the group. Thank you Captain Ken for such an enjoyable adventure.
    A special thank you to deck hand Chip.  Chip was not made aware of my physical limitations but was always there to make sure my hooks were baited and to take off the fish quickly. I could not have done as much without his help.
    I am an 80 year old grandfather and great-grandfather.  On the trip, I had one of my sons and four of my grandchildren. I had just met my 37 year old grandson a few weeks ago for about 15 minutes. This type of trip was a great way to really get acquainted and better know each other. It is truly a great way to bond.
    Needless to say, when we got back, just about everyone was ready to go again and I wholeheartedly recommend a trip with the S.S. Fish Witch II crew.

Great time fishing with captain & mate.  It was not peak season by any means so we bottom fished and probably caught 35-40 total fish in 3 hours.  Started out w squid but changed to shrimp and fresh vmcut bait pretty quickly for the bite.  We hit 4 or 5 spots before we found a nice honey hole w the right bait.  Crew worked hard and was nice.  Captain clearly knew his fishing.

Boat was older but plenty big and comfortable for us.  Happy to recommend this charter.

This was the most fun our family has had ! It was our first trip on a boat and fishing in the ocean. Nick and Tyler were amazing ! They were so good with our children 😊.  We caught several fish and they made sure we were comfortable and enjoying our trip ! One of the best days we’ve celebrated together. Thank you both for an amazing trip, we will always remember it !

The trip was great. Fishing was a little slow, but the mate kept changing the lures, and the captain kept trolling so we did end up catching a bunch of good eating Spanish Mackerel. We had one little girl with us with a broken arm, who was shy and didn’t want to fish until the end, and the captain kept us out until she caught one too. So very kind.

The group consensus is we would do it again.

This was our first time going deep sea fishing. It was a blast going out with Captain Shane and his First Mate Parker and Shawn. They were very knowledgeable, put us on fish within minutes of getting to our destination and we were one fish shy of maxing out our King Mackerel catch for the day!! Would definitely recommend this charter and will be using this team again for future trips to the NC Coast!
