We went out with Captain Tony and First Mate Travis to catch some sharks for the kiddos (and kids at heart) and weren’t disappointed! They were great at chatting with the kids and involving them in the experience. We didn’t have any luck the first spot we stopped to fish, but rather than calling it a day they pulled anchor and drove to a different spot to try it out. We hauled in four sharks by the end and made some memories that’ll stay with us forever. Thanks guys!!!

Captain Tony and his first mate Travis were amazing. This was a very special trip for us. My Nephew, Dalton, lost his dad a year ago after a failed heart transplant. When he found out he was getting a heart he and Dalton had started planning a trip to the keys and to catch some Mahi Mahi. When Michael knew he wasn’t coming home from the hospital he ask us to help Shelly make this trip happen for Dalton and especially wanted him to catch some Mahi. Today that happened. So grateful to Captain Tony and Travis. They put us on some great fish today including some really nice Mahi Mahi. Dalton is over joyed and tonight we got to grill and eat some Mahi together while we reminisced about Daltons Dad Michael. God is good!!!

What can I say about these guys? For our anniversary my wife and I like to go deep-sea fishing. We’ve only been one other time and I got sick because the ocean was rocky I thought but also the boat smelled of diesel fuel constantly and wasn’t that clean.
Well when we get on the Singing Reel 2 this could not have been further from the experience we had last time. I can’t get over how clean the boat was and how kind and personable to crew were. Captian Tony is just a generally awesome guy who you could sit and have a conversation or a beer with and feel like you’re genuinely being listen to and learn som cool stuff along the way and Travis was spot on with the fishing knowledge and experience. It was evident these guys do this every day and they do it well. They knew exactly where The Fish bitting and how to get the big ones in the boat. Other charters went out (where they told us there would be no fish ) and got skunked but not us. Travis gave us plenty of pointers that helped us to get as many fishes we could legally catch that day (Memorial day) with his knowledge of the fishery and following rule number 1 in fishing ( you don’t leave fish to find fish) we ended up catching our limit on yellowtail, and even got some tuna, a 300 lb nurse shark, some of the most beautiful fish I didn’t know existed called parrot fish, an angel fish, and a “unicorn” filefish. There was a grouper that kept eluding us and if we had more time in the day, I know that Travis would’ve helped me get that guy on the boat… lol..
I’m giving SINGING REEL 2 five out of five because I can’t go any higher on the scale. They truly did exceeded my wife and I’s expectations in there hospitality, cleanliness, and professionalism and when we come back to Islamorada for next trip we know exactly who we will be booking.

Captain Tony and Wyatt were amazing. They put us on so many shark and the whole family had a blast. The boat is super comfortable, really nice to have AC and a bathroom on board. If you want to get out for an afternoon trip this is for you. They get my highest recommendation.
