Near shore action is hot!!!! With little to know winter here in Mad Beach. Near shore fishing is just like it was Spring time. Although with water temps down, the bite is hot!! Flounder, Mangrove Snapper, Grey Snapper are very plentiful this time of year. Along with the winter time Sheepshead and Hog fish are starting to show. What Winter?? Madeira Beach Fl has not yet been hit with any major cold fronts at this time. With water temps still in the lower 70's . Near shore fishing is on fire, Hogfish, Flounder, Sheepshead, Redfish ,White trout, Keywest Grunts are covering the near shore reefs. Also with the water temps still in the lower 70's mark, King fish are still hanging around. My last couple trips were full of action with multiple species. Live shrimp and cut bait are the bait of choice this time of year. With that said Christmas is going to be a hot one !!! Book your Near shore trip today !!!! Captain Kevin Catch On Charters

Fall near shore action is in full swing. 4 hour Charters are producing Spanish Mackerel, KingFish Snapper and much more. Finding the birds this time of year is key to finding the Spanish Mackerel and Kingfish. By Trolling on the outside of the bait pods with artificial baits the Kingfish can't resist. Bottom fishing has been hot as well. Mangrove snapper, KeyWest Grunt and Hogfish have been found on natural bottom. Using Shrimp and small pieces of cut bait. Summer time pattern is in full swing. With a quick run out to the summer time near shore action. You can bend a rod on some Mangrove Snapper, Flounder , Key West Grunts. Along these reefs we have came across some monster Goliath Grouper and Tarpon. We have found cut white bait placed on the bottom have been getting the better snapper. Near shore Kingfish is getting hot! Trolling live or hardware has produced good numbers. Near shore bottom fishing has been great as well. Key west grunts, Mangrove Snapper, and Flounder has kept the rods bent !
