- Captain Willie has been fishing the ocean off Palm Beach County since the late 1980s and absolutely loves the thrill of it. He was a journalist before that, and still writes for publications such as The Coastal Star and Florida Sportsman magazine. He spent 12 years as a full-time outdoors writer for The Palm Beach Post.

- Capt. Willie enjoys drift fishing along the reefs with live and dead baits for kingfish and snapper and running well offshore into the bright blue Gulf Stream waters (weather permitting) to troll and pitch baits around current edges, weed lines and floating debris for dolphinfish (mahi mahi).
