Captain Sonny is extremely knowledgeable about the area that we were fishing. The fish were there but so was a slight Northeast wind. The croaker & spot started right off, I landed a nice red but it didn’t make the minimum size requirement so he swam off to bite another day. I did hook up with two nice reds. One took off under the boat taking line but the line couldn’t hold up rubbing under the boat and tore off. The other put up a nice fight as well, just as Capt Sonny was getting ready to net it the fish jumped and spit the hook. He took me to several other locations caught a bunch more croaker & spot but the wind was hampering our efforts. Then I hooked into a nice fish, put up a heck of a fight. Capt thought it was a ray, I had no clue, then it appeared…a three foot sand shark. We weren’t letting that in the boat! So I did bring home some nice croaker. Sonny never gave up he kept trying everything he could but the wind was just too much. We talked a great deal about dogs & fishing. I’ll be booking again in the future. It was a nice relaxing time for me, stress & pressure free, just what the Dr ordered! Thanx Sonny!

Sonny knows the waters like the back of his hand, and he knows how to find the fish.  And, he won’t stop trying to find more.  I had a great day as usual, my fourth trip with Marshland Expeditions, and I caught speckled trout, gray trout, flounder, puppy drum, and a few others.  Had a great day and will be having a fish fry tomorrow.  Thanks Sonny.

Took my husband for a birthday fishing trip with Captain Sonny!  What a beautiful day it was today!  We had an amazing time on the water! Between the two of us, we caught over 60 fish!  These included Grays, speckled trout, pin fish, reds, hog fish, spots, and a spade fish. Captain Sonny kept us loaded with bait and helped us have a terrific time!

What a beautiful day on the water.  Caught some small ones but it wasn’t our day for the big ones.  The storm had the fish all wonky.  Captain and mate were the best!  Tried different bait and lures to try to get us catching fish.  They really worked on it!  Would definitely recommend!
