Was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Transportation was made easy by Jaime. Then we started fishing and immediately caught some skipjacks. They then switched to bigger lures to go for marlin. We experienced a little bit of a lull which was expected but we’re lucky enough to get a fish on. Sadly that was lost after a short fight and couldn’t be brought in. After some more attempts to find some marlin we snagged a nice mahi mahi to wrap up the trip. The captain and mate were very helpful and kind. Would definitely book with Daliken again. My only grievance was the engine started hiccuping at the end and stalled out once. That was no problem because once it started again we were smooth sailing all the way in.

We would use Daliken again!  We had a wonderful trip!  Jamie was easy to work with and was quick to respond to all our messages.  He was really helpful and answered all of our questions.  Captain Ruben was fun and understanding to our daughter’s fear on the boat. We did get a pull within the first hour but then lost the fish.  The next 2 hours were not as exciting but towards the end 2 hammerhead sharks caught our bait and just at the end they snapped the line.  That was pretty thrilling.  Captain Ruben knew how important this trip was to our son that he decided to use lures for the last hour and he went out a little deeper.  We were able to catch 5 skip jack. 

Not all of us fished but we enjoyed the ride and the view. Only those who are planning to reel in the fish need the license. Make sure to bring snacks to munch on while you’re waiting for the fish to bite and a cooler if you plan on bringing your fish back with you. :).

Great fishing! Had a 140lb. Marlin in the boat within an hour of leaving the dock. The second day we went down the coast and fished close to shore. where I caught 2 Rooster fish, two rock cod, and 4 sunfish. Lost a few as well. As soon as we hit bottom, fish on. My crew knew exactly where to find fish. Day 3, went back out deep for the big fish and before long I had a trophy size Mahi mahi in the boat and my skippers partner reeled in a nice 7 foot Blue Marlin, because I said no-mas for me to reel it in. Great Skipper and First Mate, clean boat, great fishing gear and technique in rigging up the live bait. We were highliners for sure. The only regret I had was not being in better shape to reel these hogs in. I cant wait to go back, in October I’m hoping, meanwhile some pushups are in order. My first trip to Mexico and what a trip it was. 5 Star all the way!!
