- Captain Joe Richard is a skilled and enthusiastic fishing guide whose articles and photos have been used in fishing magazines since 1977, including Florida Sportsman, where he was also the book editor for 5 of their Sportsman's Best Book Titles. Years ago, he won a dozen offshore Kingfish tournaments and wrote 2 books about it. Capt. Joe has fished the Gulf of Mexico since 1965 and became a licensed fishing guide in 1994. He now specializes in targeting inshore species, such as Seatrout and Redfish using spinning gear, and loves nothing more than guiding small groups towards their personal best. He encourages catch-and-release on the bigger Trout. He often takes out father-and-son teams, fishing buddies and relatives. Capt.
