I have been on a number of fishing excursions over many years in both NZ and Australia. I have been on some excellent outings and some absolute bummers. So I was rating skipper and deckie from moment I got on board. Overall impression was that the skipper worked hard to ensure everyone got something and assisted the deckie (Jason) when necessary. Jason worked his butt off assisting everyone sorting out tangles quickly without fuss. They both worked hard to ensure everyone caught something memorable. My thrill was a cobia, which Jason filleted for me on shore as I wasnt staying somewhere I could do this. Top ratings well done guys.

Booked a whole day trip from Cairns for reef fishing. We headed north & hit up a few spots on the reef. Depths varied from 7m, 25m, 35m to about 50 metres. Locations were spot on and hits were constant. Good species variety, coral trout, spangled emperor, trevally, reef sharks etc and rigs set for mackerel and tuna - no luck on this occasion. I landed in excess of 40 fish for the day and about a dozen different species. Crew were friendly and approachable and happy to answer any questions. These guys live, eat and breath fishing. Boat I booked had eight of us on board & plenty of room.

Had two days fishing with Rod and Dean amazing time first day was great fishing had plenty of good fish landed.
Day two new spots same amazing fishing also landed plenty of good fish and offered different options of fishing style to mixed it up which was awesome fun to experience hand line.
Food was amazing lunch had a really good selection of meat options for sandwiches and the aoil was my favourite.
Rob and Dean made a really excellent team for sorting tangles landing fish and releasing sharks. Also included everyone in conversation to make for everyone haveing a great day.

My son and I went on the charter together. It was easy to book and find. The crew, Rob and Ben, were excellent and they kept moving to give us the best opportunity. The food on the boat was outstanding and plenty of fish were caught during the trip with some real crackers taken I would definitely book them again. Thank you for the experience.

Would recommend these guys to anyone. Excellent facilities and crew. I am a complete fishing amateur and managed to catch some awesome fish. Take some travel sickness tablets just incase as you’re on the boat for most of the day. We took our catch to Salt House who cooked us up a very tasty meal for 30 bucks each (three courses). Thanks so much guys for a great day!
