What would you recommend to anglers fishing in St. Augustine, Florida for the first time?

Get with Captain James! Fishing from shore was tough. Wish we would of booked earlier in the week so we could of taken another trip!

This was a great trip for us being out on the sea in a boat to fish. We hope to visit again and will definitely call Dave to take us back out.

Definitely recommend going with someone who is familiar with the area, knowledgeable about the tide and bait to be using.

They need to hire Capt Mike Likley..best money I ever spent. Had a blast with my family..the man knows how to put his boat on fish. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Bottom fishing for flounder proved to be productive! Snagged some decent size blues in the process as well

From our understanding fish are still out a ways in April but come closer once it warms up. Wind in April sometimes makes it hard to get out. We got lucky and had a very calm day!

Very good, some of the fish were back but there were a few species that will show up later. I had a blast!!!

Snappers cannot be taken, they are catch and release, This surprised me. I would recommend an all day trip or at least a 6 hr day so you can get out to the sportfish.

Do your research in advance of booking the fishing trip to better understand what fish can be caught and kept.

December is a challenging month because of the unpredictable weather patterns. If you are flexible you can have a fantastic time.

It was a bit cold so we didn't have luck in a few of the places. The wind on the river was really cold but once the sun came out it was much better.

Definitely book with captain Guy. He did a fabulous job we were thrilled with the experience and with all the fish caught. We will definitely be booking with him again.

Yes, get a good guide and it will be a great experience. I have also been catching smaller fish from the shore.

Take a Red Snapper trip. Only once a year for 3 days for Atlantic Season, but we’ll worth the trip.

Check ahead of time with any local guide to see what there catching and possibly the best time to come fish.

The wind is a crap shoot, so be flexible and select a captain that's willing to work with the weather for an enjoyable day.

Fishing was good once we got on them. we kept Spanish Mackeral but also caught blue and black drum. It was too rough to venture near shore outside the harbor so we worked the channels and the bridges

We did not catch any keepers. Capt. Zach made the best of things to make it a pleasurable adventure.

Just go for it, Fish were closer in than back home in North Carolina. I will be checking best time of year to fish here and return.

We were catching tuna, King, and shark. It was great fun and I would highly recommend to anyone and everyone. Take this boat with this caption and you will have a great time.

Get a boat with a/c in mid months not for morning out but coming in. You will be hot and tiered! Great place to visit and fish!!!

Had a great time on water. Would definitely go again but all day rathr than half day would be more fun and catch more fish. Great time.

Check the forecast. Don't be afraid to stay in shore if you can't get offshore. You will have a great experience, when you're willing to trust your captain and crew!

December can get cold. Keep that in mind, jackets, hoodies, coffee thermos maybe, & it'll be great.

For intracoastal in the winter we caught a decent amount of fish, it was a great time!
