We went fishing 3 times and caught only Mahi and albacore. Captains mentioned that it is better fishing for bills end of January and early February. If you want to catch some big Mahi and tuna the best is mid September to mid October.

Be ready for anything with the ocean. It started with choppy waters, went calm for half the trip and stirred up to bigger swells the closer to noon it got. I’d strongly suggest morning as it was predicted rain every afternoon.

Sun screen. Hydrate. Patience. Enjoy every second being on the ocean. Watch for leatherback turtles. We saw two giant ones mating! You might get a pelican to join you. If you are at risk of motion sickness, get the patch or whatever you need to stay healthy on the water.

This fishing trip was amazing! The crew was very professional and friendly. What they advertised on YouTube is definitely accurate. You will have a great time on the water and the captain knows exactly where to go to get the big ones. I didn’t catch a marlin or sail but once I caught a 50lb yellow fin tuna! I was blown away what a fight!
I definitely would fish again with them if I come back to Costa Rica. And yes I do recommended that any one wants to have an excellent experience on the deep sea go with Capullo Sportfishing/Rainbow Runner!

Captain and crew were most accommodating and accomplished. Charter ended up running longer in attempt to satisfy a gentleman's bet and did not disappoint. Highly reccomended from a FL based resident with plenty of fishing experience.

Be sure to ask your captain what is biting before booking. Don’t try to go after a full day fish with only a half day trip. I think if you fish the reef on a half day trip you will be extremely satisfied.

Bring good protection from the sun if you aren't used to it. If you haven't fished in trophy ocean waters, be prepared to fight bigger (and stronger) fish than you. You never really know when you'll hook into the big one!

This is a small boat as advertised bring a towel to sit on. And
Let’s go this is a fishing trip not a boat ride
Chris Rust
The captain said some weather came through right before we were there so it was not as good as they sometimes experience. We still did manage to catch 4 tuna and had a good time!
Farhan Punjwani
Can't control the weather but these guys were amazing. It does gets really hot so alot of sun screen and liquid is a must.
Jeter Woods
It wasn’t the best fishing ever but to catch mahi when there not hot was great. We saw tons of porpoises and lots of life. We didn’t get any billfish but from hearing it says there hot.

You will get wet from ocean spray. Bring clothing appropriate for the conditions. I had a waterproof wind breaker. It helped
Asaf Levy
Get ready to catch. I had at least 6 opportunities and only landed 3, hooks seemed to keep popping
Ryan Leachman
Absolutely. It was my wife’s first time fishing and she had an absolute blast.
Michael Honsinger
Stay hydrated and wear SPF fishing shirts, hat and sunglasses. Don't forget sunblock and a healthy attitude.
Patrick Furlong
Give it a try! There’s never any guarantee that you’ll catch anything and we knew that going in. Managed to haul in five fish
Kristie Michaels
Yes. I was a kid the last time I went so I was basically first time. Daniel and John could not have been more helpful.
Mike Kuhn
Know that this is a smaller boat without restrooms. Also know that the wind can make things a bit rough but also expect to catch fish!
Nathan Verner
Fishing is unpredictable. Don’t be disappointed if you don’t catch the exact fish you set out to catch, just enjoy the experience and have fun catching the large game fish in the area.
Matt MacDougall
I would highly recommend connecting with Henry and his crew if you want to have an amazing day out on the ocean. Definitely worth it.
Terry Severin
My brother in law had never fished before and felt safe and was taken care of by the captain and crew. My two boys and I had the trip of a lifetime.
James Prentice
Pick Sea Breeze. Super efficient and productive. We walked from our hotel to the beach where they picked us up. No hassles. All planned out and executed at the highest level. A+
Ryan Guidry
We only caught 2 Mahi on our 4 hour trip. The captain and crew were fantastic and it wasn’t their fault.

Be ready for a great experience! Just being out on the ocean was a great experience and the fishing is very enjoyable. Recognize there may be significant periods of waiting for the fish to bite.
Eric Hill
Stay Calm and Tuanis Mae. Be ready for a great experience fishing the waters in beautiful Costa Rica.

Offshore bite can vary quite a bit, but your odds of landing multiple billfish in a single day are high.
PATRICK GOOLEY
Don't drink too much alcohol before fishing like one of our guys did. Drink water and go to bed early after a good healthy meal and you'll do fine!

We were told this March was very unusual with the rain they were getting but it helped that was not so windy. Looks for a good weather and a company with positive reviews

Crew provided enough food and drinks for everyone. It is very hot in March recommend lots of Sun protection. Long sleeves shirts and head wear also lots of sunscreen lotion.
