We got a nice weather window and made a run deep offshore in search of some grouper for the box. With the red grouper closure, we had our goals set on gag, scamp and other yummy edibles. Our client asked for some fish for the box and some giant fish, so thats what we did! We added fish to the box for a few meals (gag, scamp and trigger fish) then went toe to to with goliath grouper and some jumbo sharks! We had blackfin tuna jumping all around us as well! We had a gorgeous weather day and a great experience on the water!

What a great memorial day weekend! My group of 6 joined me for a 10 hr fishing adventure into the gulf of mexico. We pushed off the dock at 630 AM in pursuit of some hard pulling Red Grouper and any other fish that wanted to join the party. Every stop resulted in multiple fish being caught, with a few studs from each accumulating to a fantastic fish box! Our sole lady angler put on a clinic catching a wide variety of different species including red grouper, gag grouper, mangrove snapper, lanes and more! One of our anglers brought his own slow pitch jigging equipment... he worked the jig all day and was rewarded with our largest red grouper at 32"! Another one of our anglers was reeling in a snapper when it got hit on the way up and drag started peeling off. After a short fight, up comes a respectable sized barracuda! Amazing it didnt cut thru line with its razor sharp teeth! We threw back a ton of fish and had an amazing day! I look forward to getting this crew out again soon!

Had a great day on the water with our full day split trip. Pushed off pineland a few minutes past 7 and hit the grass flats to load up on whitebait and pinfish. Ran on out to a wreck out in 130 ft of water looking for some action. We had a ton of big hook ups, a bunch of break offs, and a handful of very nice fish caught! Big Fish of the day was a giant amberjack caught on a micro sized piece of whitebait. Once bite slowed down and we needed some of nature's ac, we made a quick move looking for some snappers and grouper. The bite was on fire, and we put quite a few nice lanes in the box along with a a pair of nice groupers. Missed a few big hits that got back to the hole and broke off. Ride back in was smooth and beautiful. Awesome day out on the water!

Headed out from pineland around 11 pm on friday night for the 12pm opening of American Red Snapper and gag grouper season. The 2 hour ride out was nice and smooth, and the stars grew brighter the further away from light pollution we went. Arrived at the spot and slowly crept towards the first marks where lines were deployed. Hookups of American Red Snapper came fast and quick... although all were legal sized fish, we wanted bigger ones for the fish box. All fish were vented and released if not going in the box. Dave has a hot rod and gets an over 30 inch red grouper. Another rod doubles over and its a gag over 30". Worked around for a bit and added quality american red snapper to the box. Finished off our limit of 25" + fish around sunup, so moved over to target some other denizens of the deep. A bunch more red grouper came up over the sides along with a red porgy, some big lanes and vermillions. Everyone was tired and so we made the run back in to clean our catch and catch some zzzz's....

Headed out of Pineland marina with Howard, Kim, Barbara and Mark for a 1/2 day of fishing.Although we generally dont participate in winter down here in SWFL, this year has been quite the opposite! Our group hunkered down for the ride out as it was a bit chilly! The water was a pretty green color and seas were minimal making for a great ride out. We set up shop dropping down squid and sardines. We managed lots of throwback lane snappers, sand perch and red grouper. Mark had the hot hand boxing several nice lane snapper as well as our keeper red grouper! Everyone caught fish and it was a fun day to be out on the water. We saw some dolphins on our way back in as well. Made it back to the dock and filleted their fish up so they could add some "Surf" to their XMAS Eve Turf dinner! Merry Christmas guys! Look forward to seeing you again!
