No hurricane Irma For The Outer Banks..
The hurricane that never came went into the gulf, thank the lord! Last week we enjoyed excellent fishing from big Spanish mackerel and 1lb blues in tight to the beaches. False albacores ( 5lbs-12lbs) smoking our spoons in the 70ft range. The wrecks have been producing lots of good eating triggerfish along with a few keeper sea bass. Plenty of sharks around eating our rigs off, we pitch baits to them on spinners for a good fight. Back in the sound the light tackle boats are slamming the speckled trout and this week they’ve hit the big red drum. Fishing only get’s better between now and Nov here on the Outer Banks of NC.
Thank you, Devin Cage
