On Mr Barry's second attempt and 3rd marlin strike,we succeeded.With a lot of surface activity;birds everywhere,and reports from the other boats fishing in a competition we decided to spend as much time as possible around the skipjack schools in the deep waters and it paid off.We caught around 10 skipjacks.We lost an estimated 400 lbs blue marlin and caught another one on the smallest lure in our spread.The fish took the lure just at the back of the boat and took a lot of line.After some spectacular acrobatic moves the fish settled down and Mr Barry did a very good job to bring his first ever blue marlin to the boat for a perfect release.Job done........
