June Fishing Report
The fishing in June has continued to stay very consistent. We have been out everyday this month and have had great success at all spots along the Vancouver Island shoreline. Fishing for Chinooks has been the main target lately with nearly all charters having good luck in finding their limits. We are seeing a very good average size this year, lots of fish in the 15-25 pound range. The Coho moved in to the beaches after the first week in June to start feeding on the hatching herring. If you have a nice sunny day and want to target Coho you can have your hands full. Charters that have spent some time targeting Coho often experience 20+ fish to the boat an hour! The boats haven’t spent much time bottom fishing this month. Its been a little more spotty then past years, the weather hasn’t been great and the salmon fishing has been to good!
