We’ve had a ton or rain in the past two weeks and it’s caused a few cancellations. Scallops are still going strong. Low tide makes it easy picking out there. The size of the actual scallop meat is beginning to increase now which is great news!
Redfish have been plentiful around the oyster bars and mangrove islands at high tide. Live shrimp and cut ladyfish have been the ticket. 1/8oz jig bounced back to the boat. Trout are still on the deeper flats. Popping cork and a glulp shrimp seems to be the bait of choice for them at the moment. Lots of short fish at the moment but you can get some nice ones if you take time to pick trough them.
