Walleye fishing in 2018 was some of the best ever, but just a preview of fishing to come. A near record hatch this spring will assure great fishing for the future. We started fishing in April using 1 oz hair jigs most productive colors being black and purple. as the water warmed and after the fish spawned we were casting worm harnesses and some traditional weight forward spinners. We began our trolling around the first of June. Spoons behind jet divers or dipsey divers targeting the fish by the depth of the diver was the program of choice.
