We're getting into the snappers really good this month. Tons of yelloweye snappers, which I haven't seen hardly any of in the past few years are biting. It's a great sign of improving snapper fishing and I love it because they are so good eating. Plenty of other bottom fish species such as grouper, grunts, porgies and triggerfish are biting. Some throw backs but a lot of keepers too. We've also managed to catch a few really nice cobia this week. Cobia are an elusive fish that we catch on the reef and they get big. They tend to follow sea turtles, big sharks, whales and other big creatures. They are great eating and they are always a crowd pleaser because they are so strong and fight so well. Other bigger fish that we catch sporadically this month are kingfish, blackfin tuna and mahi-mahi. You never know what you might catch this week, there's a lot going on out there. Good luck to everyone on our fishing trips this month. I'll sea ya on the water.
