Summary

We had a great afternoon trip yesterday. We left the dock and found perfect conditions in the local area. Our options were to head towards the other 300 boats all fishing in one area, or go the opposite direction and work near the marina. We ended up working near the marina without another boat in sight in Lake Catherine and BOOM!! Got’em!!! In a few hours this fun crew put 50 NICE trout and a few reds on ice. We must have thrown back about 30 trout that were 12” - 13”. These guys were only interested in keeping 15” and up. Live Shrimp was the only thing the Trout wanted to eat.

Most of my childhood was spent at our fishing camp on Lake Pontchartrain. After serving as an infantryman in the 101st Airborne I returned home to once again, pursue Redfish and Speckled Trout. Over time, I realized that sharing the experience of fishing in our scenic waterways was extremely rewarding. Few things compare to watching a young angler reel in a fish, or an avid fisherman catch their first Redfish. For these reasons, I began guiding. Before my guiding career began, I spent a decade in outside sales, where I learned the importance of customer service, which is a dying art these days. When you come aboard, the trip is all about you. I want you to enjoy yourself, be comfortable, and catch fish!
