My second fishing experience and it did not disappoint. Total noobs on the boat and we still went home with fish. There were whales everywhere we looked, a fish fight with a seal, birds, ocean wild life and clear skies. I went home, took a nap and then ate the best wild salmon I’ve ever had. It was a great day, fishing has a learning curve and Captain Phil earnest his money that day. He was working!
Book this charter and eat some damn good fish that night.

Thanks Christine!
Thanks Phil!
Next time I want to fish for salmon, Captain Phil and the Reel Time will be my first call. He is a one man team and I really appreciated watching him work all day. He keeps the boat immaculate and every little thing has its place. He is without a doubt VERY passionate about fishing and I felt like he went above and beyond the call of duty to put us on fish. We went out on Tuesday August 14th with less than desireable conditions and 4 anglers. I was concerned when he said he prefers to fish with three, but our group did not feel cramped at all. It was really rough getting out to the fishing grounds and very few boats were hooking up. After switching locations and depths, he found the magic combination and we ended up fighting 8 fish total, landing 7, and keeping 6. One was too small and we lost a big one due to my own error fighting it, which obviously he could not control. Other boats were reporting very limited action that day, and I thing it’s a testament to Captain Phil and his expertise that we were able to have such a memorable day. He very much has his way of doing things. I’d recommend listening and doing as he says, and I’m confident Captain Phil and the Reel Time will deliver as well as anybody for you and your group.

I am a small town person. I have no desire to be in a big city. I went to San Fransico area to visit my sister. We got a hair up our asses to go fishing. I booked this trip through fishbooker. I received a phone call from Phil confirming everything we needed to bring such as fishing licenses, food, and water. He had everything else. I got to San Fran the day before and touched base with Phil about our departure and confirmed we’d be there. When we pulled up to the dock it felt like a nice some town vibe from northern MN. It was quiet and relaxed with people living on their boats. We have Phil a call he came and had a parking space for us and lead us to the boat. We loaded everything and took off. We drove across the Golden Gate to get to the harbor but that didn’t hold anything to the view from under the Golden Gate on the water at sunrise. It was spectacular. We found our fishing space within an hour and had lines in the water. I have fishing lakes in ND and MN most of my life. I knew how do do a few things and Phil didn’t keep me from helping out a little. We caught our limit in about 5 hours along with the Captain’s limit so 6 fish total. Phil gutted and gilled the fish for us on the water. Mean while my sister was getting sick a few times from the rocking of the boat. After our fish were caught, Phil brought us back into the bay and put our fish into a large plastic bag. We got some ice right up the road. It was a great trip and I would do it again. I have to say that we did not know that we had to pay for the weights. The 2 pound weights fall off when you reel in fast. There is a trick to keeping them in the line. I also wish that the fish would have been in fillets for the flight home but I was able to do that at my sisters place.

We had a great day today, perfect conditions and fantastic experience with captain Phil. This is a great boat and very experienced captain - both my son and I had a marvelous day, caught all the fish we could. Will most certainly go out again with Phil.
