this is long enough its a 5-6 hour trip way out at sea , with a great crew very helpful and good fishermen .

we had an absolutely wonderful day with a catch of blue marlin which became the highlight of the day

What a perfect day!
I came to Mauritius with my daughter as a 40th birthday present for her.
We wanted to do a day out fishing and having searched the internet we found Horizon which seemed to be the best. We were correct and do not regret booking with them.
Nicolas picked us up and took us to the boat which was ready to go.
Dede and Simon took us out, these are two seriously likeable guys who are very dedicated and professional. You could easily see that they take pride in what they are doing.
We followed the birds, found the fish and caught a huge Dorado, 2 Bonitos and a Mackerel.
The boat rides very nicely in the water and the equipment was very good.
The weather was perfect with mostly cloudy skies and little wind and sea state for the fishing and lovely sun for the snorkelling and a BBQ at the beautiful Coin de Mire island.
We snorkelled with a mirade of fish around us, we had a great lunch with Simon the chef before a quiet trip back to Grand Baie.
A trip that was really perfect from start to finish and well worth the price.

Full day’s fishing
I spent the day with Simon and Didi, casting off at 07.00, and motoring out into the Indian Ocean. The fish were feeding and we caught Yellow Fin Tuna and a nice Wahoo. Didi and Simon are very experienced and keen fishermen, trying new baits and techniques during the day when we had a quiet moment. It was a great day, well organised and expertly carried out. Communication from Nicholas beforehand was also very good. The one that got away - we hooked but didn’t land, a good sized Marlin that we had on the line for about 4 minutes. Looks like I will have to go out again and I will definitely go with Horizon Fishing.

A full days fishing with the horizon fishing company.  Nick had comminucated with me over many months and at all times was clear and timely. Sam and didi on the day were well organised and they managed the day professionally. Knowing when to change tackle and type of kit to give us the best opportunity to deliver the catch.
We hooked into 17 tuna and they gave us some fun but by changing some of the smaller lures we targeted bigger fish, no marlin but we hooked into and landed two massive wahoo 40 kg plus which delivered a great fight. Bit early for marlin for those in the know .
